Limit to Load Only Unticked?
Good day,
I do not have anything connected as non-essential at the moment, but will be changing that later. I have a Sunsynk 8.8kw Inverter - Is it bad to leave the Limit to Load Only checkbox unticked? I am trying to monitor the PV generation. When it is ticked it only draws what the load requires so I cannot see the capacity generated by the PV, but if it is un-ticked I get to see the full capacity being generated. Is that bad, or ok to do?

So just to understand, you want to see the total power generated by the PV and to achieve that you also feed back into the grid(ticked Solar Export).
You are right when you tick Limit to Load only that it will only produce PV when there is load and when charging the battery. If you un-tick Limit to load only it will feed back to the grid side of inverter. If you tick Zero Export it will prevent it from feeding back to the grid(provided the CT is installed). If you Tick Solar Export, the excess PV power will first be used by the load, then by battery(depending whether you ticked PRIORITY LOAD) then un-essential loads and then only what is left over will be fed back into the grid,
Just remember, this is now If I understand it right, if you have an pre-paid meter it will charge you for the power you are pulling and then also charge you for the power you are pushing back as the pre-paid meters do not care what direction the current is flowing. So I hope you do not have an pre-paid meter!
