Modbus Meter

I have my solar equipment going into a shed next to my house, and my meter board is a reasonable distance 20-25m from where the inverter will be. So I'm a little concerned that the CT will be too far away and I might have issues.

Can these Inverters read a smart meter via rs485 such as the Chint ddsu666? Or is the directly wired CT the only way to get current flow data back to the inverter?

And secondly, if I have two inverters running in parallel, but not synced, as one won't be connected to the batteries, can they still share the meter data and limit my export to the grid?

Hi, I have the CT coil installed about 30m away from inverter using high quality, shielded, twister pair wire with no issues. Avoid running CT wire parallel to other live wires if possible for long stretches. My CT Readings are accurate.
