8KW Eco Vs standard hybrid UK
HI,
I note the 8kw Eco seems to be the only one available in the uk?
I have messaged technical for a detailed responce.
Obviously I can see key differences in build size and protection but in basic terms other then the obvious protection benifits why would we be concerned in using the Eco version in the UK for our trial, (own home and business use) compared to the standard hybrid if available.
I tend to like to know all the variables yes OCD and cannot identify use cases for each product in this country as some protection ( all protection is important but varies in world region) seems to be key to only the standard hybid version and not he eco.
We are new to this industry, looking at the darta sheets and website the two versions are shown together, I do not wish for our first peronal and buiness use install to purchase the wrong version of this product.
Thoughts and comments welcome, yes we have an electrical background and certification.
When i find out i will detail here.
In advance thank you.

It appears that the ECCO version has better support for external meters vs the standard hybrid which, depending on the version of the aux micro controller firmware (not field upgradable), the standard model may not support an external meter at all.
Anecdotally the ECCO version also appears to haver tigher import/export control with users appearing to report zero unnecessary import vs continuous 5-20W import in the case of the standard model.
Note that both models appears to have the unnecessary import bug when solar export is enabled. Not sure if the ECCO model has the unstable output bug when micro inverter/ac coupling is enabled that is currently seen on the standard model.
Overall I get the impression that the standard model is actually targeted at the SA market where the main purpose is dealing with load shedding.
