Motor startup causes overload on inverter

I have a 3hp single phase 8.3A table saw that i wanna start from a total offgrid solar setup. I have a 8kva Sunsynck inverter installed. The inverter sometimes cuttoff power with an AC overload message. I know this is caused by the high in rush startup current from the tablesaw. How can I resolve this issue. I know you get these softstart devices that might fix thr issue, but damn even the best electricians I know don't know it. These devices are quite expensive. Anybody perhaps installed such a device and any recommendations on which type or brand.

Try this. Get a 1Kw 230v halogen lamp (or simple heater). Wire it in series with your load IE in the live wire AND get a heavy duty switch and wire that ACROSS the lamp - you may find a foot switch more convienient.

Start the saw with the lamp in curcuit and after a second or two switch the swich across the lamp. You may find for light loads you could run with the lamp in circuit.

The theory being that the lamp should limit the current. A heater would in fact be better because halogen lamps to have quite a low resistemce when cold where as a heater would have a more stable resistance.

No idea if it will work but won't cost much to try it!
