Solar export at pre-defined battery SOC
Problem: I would like to automatically export to grid when my battery reaches 95% SOC (or any other value chosen)
What will be useful as a feature is to allow solar export to grid at a preset SOC. At present the solar export only kicks in at 100% SOC as far as I am aware (this is not healthy approach for the battery as the batterries longivity is best served to not exceed 95% SOC i.e. 15% at the bottom end and 95% at the top end for Lithium battery). As an example, my solar is producing 2KW, house essential/non-essential load consumption is 1KW and the battery has reached 95%. The surplus 1KW should be exported to grid. When the battery depletes to less than 95% SOC then the export should stop (or drops to 94% SOC to allow for hysterisis). I don't believe this can be done today out of the box on a Sunsynk inverter. I have 8KW Sunsynk inverter and this feature will be useful many Sunsynk customers.

Point taken. However the current hard setting of solar export to only occur when SOC for the battery reaches 100% should be made configurable. This sholud be a simple software fix. I use Sunsynk CATL batteries and not sure how it balances its cells. However all the research I have done on Lithim batteries, they all say to operate on the flat portion of the charge/discahrge cycle (on majority of Lithium cells this is between 15% and 95% SOC). Also I have observed that the battery temperature rapidly increases when you charge above 95% SOC which is counter productive to the longitivity of the battery. It will be good for Sunsynk to reconfirm what is the optimum SOC charge range for their CATL & BYD batteries for best longitivity and if 100% charge is necessary from time to time to reset BMS reference point. The Sunsynk battery specs makes you aware that the optimum performance for the battery will be delivered at ambient temperature of 25 degrees and in my view this is not sufficient.
