Network Firewall Source and Destinations

Hi Everyone,

I would like to kindly ask assistance on the following:

I work for an organization whereby internet access is given by Active Directory login. The inverters can thus not connect to the internet for monitoring as they cannot connect directly to the internet. The Active Directory login is required.

However this can be resolved whereby we can open the IP Address and the relevant TCP ports on the Firewall for the SunSynk server.

Would anyone be able to help with the hostname or IP address of the SunSynk server that collects the data and if possible the TCP/UDP ports it uses.

Kind Regards

Thank you so much jacekowski this will assist me a lot.

I have also found the following which further collaborate your answer:

"It sounds like you have a firewall of some sorts that is blocking outbound connections to obscure ports. Whilst this is good security practice, it will not work and needs a rule to allow the logger to initiate outbound connections to the Sunsynk servers using TCP destination port 51100. Here is an excerpt from my firewall log:

2022:11:25-01:02:02 fw ulogd[1848]: id="2002" severity="info" sys="SecureNet" sub="packetfilter" name="Packet accepted" action="accept" fwrule="7" initf="eth1" outitf="ppp0" srcmac="[redacted]" dstmac="[redacted]" srcip="[redacted]" dstip="47.242.67.221" proto="6" length="44" tos="0x00" prec="0x00" ttl="254" srcport="53616" dstport="51100" tcpflags="SYN"

It reaches out to destination IP 114.215.211.179 or 47.242.67.221, which are IP addresses belonging to servers hosted in Hangzou and Hong Kong. None of these IP addresses have their reverse lookup set, so I cannot determine the domain names. "
