Battery Not Discharging Properly on SunSynk Hybrid Inverter – Need Technical Advice
Hello SunSynk Technical Support Group,
I’m experiencing an issue with my SunSynk hybrid inverter related to battery usage and would appreciate some technical guidance from the community.
System overview:
SunSynk Hybrid Inverter
Lithium battery (BMS communication via CAN)
Grid + solar connected
Firmware updated recently
Issue description:The battery is charging normally from solar, and the SOC value is displayed correctly. However, during load demand, the inverter does not discharge the battery as expected. Instead, it continues to draw power from the grid even though:
Battery SOC is above the minimum threshold
Battery discharge is enabled
Load priority is set to use battery before grid
What I’ve checked so far:
Battery type and BMS protocol selected correctly
Min SOC and discharge limits configured properly
No active fault or warning codes shown
Battery communication appears “online” in settings
Questions:
Are there specific inverter settings that can prevent battery discharge even when SOC is sufficient?
Could this behavior be related to recent firmware updates or BMS compatibility?
Are there recommended diagnostic steps or logs to check for this issue?
Has anyone experienced similar behavior and resolved it successfully?
I’m hoping this discussion can help Space Waves Game identify whether the issue is configuration-related, firmware-related, or a known limitation.
Thank you in advance for your support and shared experience.
