First SunSynk install.

Hi all, just about to spec up our first Sunsynk inverter - a 5kw unit in the uk.

we have specced 2 x 6 545w panel strings, each max out at around 13A 49 VoC at STC so the total kW is 6540. Given this is the UK we are very unlikely to hit these numbers which are to be at the limit of the inverter (13a with latest firmware, 6500 total kw)

Does this all look reasonable and sensible?

thanks,

Matt

Hi Matt, Are you referring to Hybrid 5kW unit? SUNSYNK-5K-SG01/03LP1 PV Specs here are input voltage 370V and input current 11A per MPPT. You say new firmware has up’d current to 13A. 6x545W, Voltage is within Spec (294V) and current should be controlled by your load. Thus produced Amperage will be according to load. However concerned that 2 strings could max out on 7644W under best conditions, where inverter is spec’d at 6500W, thus this could result in overloading the unit. But as mentioned Amperage will be based on load, hence a controllable factor. What is your expected load, as you may be over specifying your panels. What batteries/capacity are you looking at using, or grid tied?
