Attaching an Ecoflow (or similar) to the Aux port

Hi,

This is my 1st post and I'm new to both the forum and SunSynk inverters :)

Is it possible to connect my EcoFlow battery inverter (or any other portable battery make) to the Aux port.

My setup is as follows:

  1. Grid port connect to the UK mains Grid

  2. EcoFlow AC output connected to Gen port

  3. No external DC batteries attached as yet

  4. No solar panels attached as yet

  5. CT connected on the mains

  6. I've set the Aux port into Generator mode

The unit is working well off grid power but as soon as I turn off the mains power, the unit still stays powered on but the power from the EcoFlow is never picked up.

Is this possible. Ideally I want the EcoFlow to be the primary power unit and to have the mains as the backup or if I go over the power limits of the EcoFlow the SunSynk will then use the remaining power from the grid.

Going forward I'm going to sell my EcoFlow battery/inverter and purchase DC batteries. This is just a temporary setup until I can purchase some DC batteries.

Many thanks :)

The inverter will not operate the way you are trying. Powering the Grid will always disconnect the AUX/Gen port

Sell the EcoFlow and buy yourself some panels and batteries :-)
