RCD function not working
hi forum, I have my sunsynk 3.6kw hybrid parity inverter connected to consumer unit with a type B20 RCBO with 6mm cable. I also have 10kw of batteries connected and which when fully charged feed the grid with any excess electricity. The RCD function on the RCBO is not working, has anyone else experienced this and is it best to leave an "air gap" by fitting blanks either side of the RCB to prevent it over heating..? My electrician has advised I fit a bidirectional RCBO when they become available and should this be a type A or type B and at what recommended fuse rating. Thanks in advance for any response/advise..?

If the breaker is getting warm then you may have a faulty, breaker, or you are exceeding the rated capacity of the breaker, or it has a lose connection. Normally it is not necessary to put blanks.
