Deadband for AUX off Battery

Currently the Aux Load OFF Batt (0-100%)is a hard percentage of batt SOC.

This causes a problem in the following situations:

We are in South Africa where power failure and power fluctuations are common occurrences, especially in the evenings.

If the Aux Load OFF Batt percentage is below the current SOC, short term power dips and spikes are handled well by the battery system when the inverters disconnect from the grid to protect themselves. We try to keep the AUX off batt at 2% less than current SOC and it works well as the power dips lasts less than a minute normally, but it takes constant monitoring and adjusting.

If the SOC however is lower than Aux Load OFF Batt every dip and spike stops and restarts the aux load. All our refrigiration is on the aux load and these short on/off cycles are playing havoc on the compressors. This is a problem especially  after a prolonged power outage in the middle of the night when I'm asleep and the SOC falls below the AUX off batt setting.

One does not want to set the Aux Load OFF Batt percentage too low, as this leaves less batt power for the UPS (essential) load during an actual power failure..

Is there a way to set a deadband where both Aux and UPS ports are powered for a short while (say 2% of current SOC) irrespective of what the SOC is. If the SOC drops more than 2% i.e. it's an actual power failure and not just a dip, the AUX load then disconnects from the battery.

The deadband should be re-established once the grid returns. Any ideas ?

SETUP:

4x12kW 3phase inverters with panels

4x 10kW batteries.

Thanks for your interest and comments Groots. If we can get this to work it may save some intallations a lot of maintenance expense.

Regards.
