Oversizing Solar Panels on MPPT...on 5kw inverter
Hi I would like to connect a 6kw array to one mppt...I would be using 14 panels
...with 2x7 parrallel configuration. The voltage would be under 300v the amperage would high..
but the mppt would only take what it wanted a max of 13amps...or so. The cables leading to the inverter
are 4mm and protected by a 15 amp breaker. My thoughts are the Mppt will only take what it is rated at
around 13amps.....is this ok????

Thanks for this...I thought it would be ok...as the MPPT can only take around 13amps......and it will just take what it needs and the rest of the potential will not be used from the large array...on very sunny days.😀
