Panel string set up for bigger inverter
Currently we have a 8kW Ecco with 18 0.4kW panels with optimisers. These are in two strings on the same south facing roof. Each string is wired in series and connected to an individual MPPT on the inverter.
We have 3 phase power to the house so are looking to upgrade to a 10kW 3 phase inverter and add some extra panels to the opposing north facing roof to top up our generation. Have space for 18 extra panels but 14 will bring PV max input up to the inverter limit.
My question is how best to set up and connect the strings to the inverter if we add the extra panels? The two south facing strings both peak at about 300V and 15A each which looks like it may be too much to be combined into one MPPT looking at the inverter datasheet. North facing array could be either one or two strings fed to the other MPPT.

If they are on the same string, I guess, but that needn't apply in your case.
I've got a quote for an 8k Ecco and 22 panels, 16 SE and 6 SW (I assume the 16 will be on 2 strings on one MPPT and the 6 on the other MPPT). Will be interested to find out how the MPPTs cope with various numbers of panels and aspects.
