I’ve been having a random trip on a RCD in my consumer unit, was every couple of months now it’s a weekly event and sometimes twice in a day. Can happen anytime of day, day or night.

I have been doing some testing today with the multimeter on the circuits on the RCD. I got a tingle on the earth cable from my inverter. I’m picking up some voltage down the earth from the inverter.

I’m presuming this isn’t normal.

What do I need to check to confirm there is an issue with the inverter?

Unfortunately my installer is no longer around so can’t ask him to investigate.
