Settings for Pylontech batteries
I have a 5.5kW EccoHybrid Inverter connected to two PylontechUS5000 batteries as pictured. Can you please help me review the battery settings?

Cascaded CTs solve distance problem between mains and Sunsynk
I tried the RS485 meter solution which worked for a while. I now have a CT solution which I prefer as there is no location, fuse or mains wiring to worry about. Hope it helps someone.

Balancing comfort and timing
I’m trying to figure out the best way to plan evenings when everyone’s schedule is tight and no one wants extra stress. Public transport works sometimes, but it doesn’t always feel reliable late in the day. I’d really like to hear what others do in this situation.

You could also try my solution with a 2 core 6mm SWA cable buried in the ground between the two points, suitably terminated at both ends so you could connect it to a cable like I used with cascaded CT's. I believe this would work as the cable burden is slightly lower than what mine is (say 0.6 ohms). Anyhow I am a dinosaur and come from a substation background when you did not mix communications and control/protection so your solution is probably more up with the times. I guess the RS485 solution is more inline with the type test/G100 rules but as long as the DNO accept the solution - all good.
