Browse our complete range of solar accessories — busbars, meters, cables, cabinets and more.
Every Sunsynk inverter and battery installation requires a set of supporting components — from the CT coils that measure your home's import and export, to the data loggers that relay live system data to the SolarmanV5 monitoring platform. Getting these right from the start ensures accurate monitoring, correct system behaviour and a clean, code-compliant installation.
The Sunsynk accessories range has been selected to work seamlessly with Sunsynk inverters and batteries, removing the guesswork from component selection. All items listed are genuine Sunsynk-approved parts, tested for compatibility and covered under the standard manufacturer warranty.

Which accessories do I need?
Required for all grid-tied installations:
CT Coil — measures grid import/export current. Required for inverter control logic and SolarmanV5 monitoring.
Data Logger — connects the inverter to the SolarmanV5 cloud platform for remote monitoring.
Optional depending on installation:
Eastron SDM Energy Meter — replaces CT coil where higher metering accuracy or sub-metering is required.
Parallel Busbar Kit — required when connecting two or more batteries in parallel.
RS485 Communications Cable — required for inverter-to-battery or inverter-to-meter wiring over longer runs.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, in almost all cases. The CT coil measures real-time grid import and export current and feeds this data to the inverter's control logic. Without it, the inverter cannot accurately manage grid import limiting, cannot set export limits for G98/G99 compliance, and cannot display accurate grid flow data in the SolarmanV5 app. The only exception is off-grid installations with no grid connection. For all grid-tied and hybrid installations, a CT coil is a required component.
Both measure grid current but differently. A CT coil clamps around an existing cable without breaking the circuit — quick to fit, no electrical isolation needed. An Eastron energy meter is a DIN-rail device wired in series with the supply, providing more detailed energy data (kWh totals, power factor, harmonics) but requiring the supply to be isolated during installation. The CT coil is standard for most residential installs; the Eastron meter is used where higher accuracy or sub-metering is required.
Yes. The Sunsynk data logger connects your inverter to the SolarmanV5 cloud platform, accessible via the mobile app (iOS and Android) and web portal. You can view live power flows, daily and historical energy generation, battery state of charge, and grid import/export from anywhere. The platform also supports installer-level access so your engineer can remotely diagnose issues without a site visit.
Sunsynk's parallel busbar kit supports up to 16 LP5.1 or LP10.2 batteries in parallel, giving a maximum low-voltage storage capacity of 81.6kWh. Most residential installations use two to four batteries (10.2-20.4kWh). The busbar ensures equal current distribution between units — without it, resistance differences between connections can cause uneven charging and premature cell degradation. A busbar kit is required whenever two or more batteries are installed.
Sunsynk accessories are available through Sunsynk-approved distributors and installers throughout the UK. They are not sold directly to the public via the Sunsynk website, as most accessories require professional installation to maintain system warranty and comply with Part P of the Building Regulations. Use the Find an Installer tool to locate your nearest approved installer, or contact the Sunsynk technical team to be directed to your nearest distributor.
