Battery failing to discharge to SOC target
UK based, 3.6kW inverter, with 5.1 BYD battery.
I’ve just had a replacement battery installed . Installer set up the various pages, with support from CJ at sunsynk as he’d initially struggled to get ‘normal’ light to come on.
System page setup with 20% SOC target in all segments, no grid ticked etc as we wanted to test discharge etc. Battery page 2 grid charge ticked. Shutdown 20%, low battery 25%, restart 50%. CJ confirmed OK.
After an hours load & discharge - SOC plateaued around 25%. Looks like micro- pulse charge / discharge +/- 1%.
Installer coming back on Wednesday, but suspect this will defeat him so thought I’d pick your collective brains to help.
Has anyone else seen a similar issue where SOC is not discharging to target? Any clues how to fix?

Just to close this thread out - thanks for your comments.
Spoken with sunsynk - they confirm the charge plateau issue is a known problem & will be fixed overnight via firmware update. It was purely a coincidence to align with low battery WARNING set at 25%. He confirmed that warning level simply sounds an alarm. Shutdown stops the inverter pulling from battery until charged by grid or PV up to the restart level.
