Inverter Accepting a Generator
My inverter is not accepting the generator power and therefore unable to charge battery using the generator. My Generator is a 7,2 kwa and inverter 8kwa. What do I need to look up to setup generator to be accepted? What is Sunsynk call centre number for South Africa?

It is connected through Grid In.
Replacing the GRID
There is more than one way to connect the generator to the inverter - either:
Like you do using a failover switch to select either grid or generator feeding the inverter grid connection
2. Connect the generator to the dedicated port on the inverter with no failover switch involved.
IF you chose to use type #1 you effectively rely on the inverter to treat the generator's input as if its the grid and it therefore pukes when the poor output quality of the generator falls outside the signal quality parameters set up in the grid pages of the inverter.
Using type #2 allows a lot more freedom in my experience and does not suffer the same constraints as the grid input page parameters. In addition - the inverter then indicates/logs to you (on its own screen and also via the app) that the generator is in fact in use (generator icon and value) and you can also see the total power taken FROM the generator to feed the inverter's actions (charging the battery and also feeding loads) - type #1 connection does NOT do this because it cannot distinguish between grid or generator power feeds. ............... ALSO - if you use method #2 you will have a very nice gradual ramped generator takeup (charge and load) that will only commence about a minute after the first appearance of the generator output power at the generator terminals of the inverter - if you are present at the generator at the time of this happening, you will hear how the inverter's input starts gradually loading up the generator by the change in the exhaust note.
As others have noted via their own examples - you DO need to set the inverters pages with the knowledge of the load and charging constraints for this to work reliably
