CT issues
8kw hybrid inverter with 10 x panels, 2 x batteries (5.32kwh), no generator.
Hi folks, I've installed the CT as per the instructions. First off, I connected to terminals 5 and 6 as shown in the installation manual. Because it wasn't working, I then checked and saw that my terminal block had 3 more connections than the one in the manual. I then connected it to the terminals marked HM as shown online. I'm still not getting any power readings and the house is not being powered by either the panels or batteries. There is a small switch to the left hand side of the connections labelled S1. I can't find any info on this and wonder if I need to change the settings. I have extended the CT cable with a further 8m of cat 5 cable with the solid colours to the black lead and the trace colours to the white lead. I took a current reading at the inverter end and got 9mA. This was while the hob was in use and I turned on a 2kw radiant heater to create a larger current flow. Is 9mA in the region you would expect? Any help would be gratefully received. Good luck everyone!
Hi folks, I gave Sunsynk a ring and the guy accessed the inverter remotely. He updated the firmware and I reset the unit and it started working. It almost seems like Sunsynk have to remotely commission the equipment. My family are now starting to get sick of my ten-minute updates of stats!
