Grid import readings are too high

Hi. I’ve had my inverter in now for around 3 weeks and the grid import readings have been consistently too high, my installer sent me a new CT clamp last week to see if the fault was there, but the issue remains. As per the attached photo you can see the difference in reading between my energy provider (meter reading) and the inverter reading, while not exact the meter reading is apx 78 to 80% of the meter reading. Also in the picture you can see the switch point (04:30) when my off-peak rate finishes - and I stop grid import - and supply is switched to the battery. Load is consistent, nothing stops or starts at 04:30, it’s just a switch from grid to battery.

Any ideas what could cause this mismatch in measurement?

I don't know if your issue is related to the noise issue. As I understand it, the Landis & Gyr E470 smart meter is affected by conducted emissions* from certain inverters. The problem is not the reading that the inverter makes but rather the reading that the smart meter makes. This, apparently, despite smart meter and inverter passing regulatory tests. Sometimes adding clamp-on ferrite chokes will help in this sort of case. It looks a bit like your CT coil but no wires coming out of it

*conducted emissions just means interference that travels along the wires rather than through space (aka radio waves).
