Is it possible to manually override charge settings for Pylontech batteries?

Hi all

am getting my older inverters swapped for Sunsynks today.

I have 4x Pylon US3000 and will connect the BMS to the Sunsynk.

In the past, I did run the Pylons on voltage settings below the Pylon standards (as recommended in the PowerForum) and the system worked like a charm.

My question now is whether it is possible to manually override the voltage settings that the Sunsynk will receive from the Pylon BMS (without completely disconnecting the BMS)?

Thanks and regards

Andy

I'm interested in this feature to override max bulk voltage as well. Got a Dyness PowerBox which looks to be a Pylontech clone and they both use a 15 cell design, not 16 cell, so too a high a voltage is probably a bad idea. The Victron forum covers this well: https://www.victronenergy.com/live/battery_compatibility:pylontech_phantom#my_system_only_charges_the_battery_to_524v From what I've read, float is more a lead acid concept that doesn't fit the charge characteristics of Lithium well. It's just bulk really, and Lithium is charged by controlling current more so than voltage. Since many inverters were first designed to cater for lead, they often leave/don't cleanup the terminology and settings in the UI/firmware even when Lithium BMS is connected, and this can cause much confusion. https://www.solacity.com/how-to-keep-lifepo4-lithium-ion-batteries-happy/

Of course, that's for a 4 Cell Li bat intended to supplant 12V...
