Purpose of the 2+2 MPPT on the 8.8
Hi, I have a SUnsynk 8.8 Ecco inverter, and the question is about the 2+2 MPPT's.
I would ask my installer, who was working on my MCS, but he has told me he has closed his business, after getting my MCS to the calculation stage after National Grid approval. Bummer. But I digress.
So I want to install more panels, but I am confused on the 2+2 MPPT's.
So is it that the MPPT range is a max of 425v per MPPT or per string? So each string could have 212v adding up to 425 in one MPPT, or each string has 425 adding up to 850v per MPPT?
Is the 2+2 so that one string into one MPPT can have one orientation, and the other string input into the same MPPT can have another?
Sorry if all I did was confuse people.
Regards

The Voc of 500 volts is the critical value. Any voltage over 425 volts will be not be used by the MPPT controllers. The extra voltage means that the you will get a extra PV output on the cloudy days or earlier when the sun comes up and a little longer when it goes down.
