Inverter cooling fan output on/off

Does anyone know if there is a way to have the inverter control and external extractor fan?

My inverter is installed in my garage which used to be the coolest place in the house. Now it is the warmest place in the house.

I have fitted an extractor fan and it is controlled by a thermostat. It works well at the moment because the weather is warm and I have the thermostat set low to make sure the extractor is always on when the inverter is running. But this strategy won't be effective in the winter when the inverter can be working hard on a crisp bright winters day and the last thing I want is for the extractor to be off and the hood to be causing any sort of restriction to the air flow of the inverters own cooling system.

Ideally I would like the extractor to come on at the same time as the inverter's own cooling fan.

Is there an output from the inverter that can do this via a relay perhaps?

If not I may have to change my basic thermostat to a smart one or one with a timer.

Thanks

I would suggest get a thermostat with remote sensing. Put the sensor in contact with the heatsink and the body of the thermostat close by but accessible. I would set it to may be 50c in the summer may be a bit lower in the winter. Job done.
