Grid protection for inverter (uk)

Planning to get a 3.6kW Ecco Hybrid Inverter installed (with battery, no solar). What is the recommended protection on the Grid side?

My existing consumer unit is split, one side with a Main Switch and MCBs (smoke and intruder alarm), a couple of RCBOs and the other side with a 30mA RCD and MCBs (majority of house load).

I know the inverter will need 40A protection but unclear what is the best option.

- A 40A MCB 'behind' the existing RCD (but then any nuisance tripping would trip the 'house'?)

- A 40A RCBO 'behind' the existing Main Switch (any nuisance tripping would just trip the inverter)

This got me thinking re. RCDs and RCBOs and the use case with inverters and the current flow (direction) and thus their suitability or not.

Will be speaking to my spark about this too, of course, but would welcome any thoughts.

In the UK for reference so would appreciate UK specific advice.

20amp mcb or RCBO would suffice for this installation, this would depend on the installation method of the cable and type of cable used.
