Pylontech bms settings

I have recently installed a 16kwh sunsynk inverter and we have 8 x up5000 pylontech batteries. But we can't seem to get the bms working. Are there any recommendations for settings?
Currently the batteries are all linked together and the master battery is linked via the cam cable to the inverters cam port. The dipswitches on the master battery is set to 1 on and the rest down.

Jaques - It's almost 100% the cable from the Sunsynk to the Master Battery. Read the Pylontech manual, the correct pin out of the RJ45 is in there. Compare with the Sunsynk manual and make up a cable. You only need can high & can low. Disconnect or cut all other cores and isolate, else the data will be corrupted. Unplugged data link to slave batteries and check it is working. All DIP switches off. Then progressively add batteries, flipping DIP 2 to on as you go. Last unit in the (data) chain will have DIP 2 off.
