3.6 inveter and sunsynk battery timer not behaving
Hi,
I have a 3.6 inveter and sunsynk CATL battery. I have it arranged so that during the winter in charges from the grid to 95% until 7:30 am. This is when my cheaper rate electric ends.
For most of the week as soon as it gets to 7:30 it automatically stops drawing from the grid and the battery supplies the load until the PV kicks in. However on a couple of occasions it has kept using the grid until 7:45. This is strange as my battery charge timer is from 3:30 until 7:30am and obviously as I only have one battery it's charges to 95% by 5:30 and only maintains 95% until 7:30 am
Why does it do this ? Technically its supplying the house using the expensive rate for these 15 mins
Is it an indication of a problem coming ? As said it only does this occasionally

I think I’ve answer my own question. The time in the inverter does not appear to sync to the app or internet. So it had lost a few minutes which add up to a quarter of an hour of the week.
Looking on the forum it seems the “time sync” button in the settings is just for show and doesn’t actually force the inverter to collect time data
Seems like an oversight
