Loss of communication to Prepaid meter
I'm hoping someone can assist me.
I've got a 2 part prepaid meter installed (Landis Gyr brand) which consists of the following: 1. the main switching unit found in the municipalities junction box on the street and 2. The keypad (HMI) which is plugged into a wall socket in my house - this is used to load tokens and to view the available kwh.
After installing a 5kw Sunsynk Inverter and battery the HMI unit is no longer able to communicate with the main unit on the road side. When I plug the HMI in at my neighbour (who doesn't have solar) the unit communicates as it should.
I've read posts where people have increased the trickle charge wattage on the inverter to overcome this but this has not worked for me. (Tried 0w, 20w, 50w and 100w).
Has anyone encountered the same issue and found away around this?
Thanks Carl, glad to know that there's a solution out there.
Cheers,
Tim
