Sunsynk 5Kva - Grid Peak Shaving
Hi Everyone,
I am based in South Africa and wanted to know if it's necessary to use the grid peak shaving feature I am currently only using the inverter with batteries and the system timer. I want to see if it would make a difference in saving me by buying less electricity due to batteries being used mostly during the day.

It is not actually Grid Peak Shaving and should rather be called Inverter Peak shaving. The shaving does not take into account household loads as clarified by Sunsynk Support:
"The power calculation for grid peak shaving does not include the power of the household loads, only the battery charging power, the load power of the Load ports & the power of the smart loads.
Our manual will subsequently change this as well."
