Generator vs Grid charging behaviour/Timer settings
When charging from the grid port Sunsynk inverters "target" the SoC specified in the timer settings. I.e. if the SoC is above the timer value the invert will discharge down to the specified value and then switch to grid to supply loads for the rest of the timer slot, if the SoC is below the timer value it will use the grid to charge until the target SoC is achieved and then continue to use the grid for loads for the remainder of the timer slot.
Based on Keiths video, when using the generator port the generator is only enabled when the SoC drops below the value specified in Gen On/start capacity/SoC parameter, it will then run the generator until the either the timer or Gen off SoC is reached (depending on timer is enabled or not). This seems to preclude triggering the generator during specific time periods and using the generator only to feed load once the required SoC has been reached for the remainder of the time period.
Does anyone know if there is a way to make generator charge/load supply behave in the same way as grid charge/load supply? Specifically only use the timer SoC value as a target and ignore the Gen ON SoC value?
