Sunsynk 5kw inverter not communicating with pylontech us5000 batteries
I have recently had an inverter and batteries installed.
The ilbms screen is showing all zeros.
The company I bought it from in the UK say its not a problem but it is. The inverter currently thinks the soc is 19% but the battery leds are showing about 80%.
Tech support have said its the lead and I should try a normal patch lead. That made no difference.
A lead is valuable on ebay for us2000 / us3000 / up5000 but not us5000.
Read a post saying I need to make a lead connecting
Pin 4 to pin 4
Pin 5 to pin
Pin 2 to pin 6
I tried this but when I tested t on a network cable tester it confirmed
Pin 5 to pin 5 as ok
Pin 2 to pin 6 as ok
Pin 4 to pin 4 would not light up on the tester.
The company I bought it from say that the tech team are advising for South Africa not the UK.
Really not sure what to do.
Help!!!

All pylontech batteries have identical pinout. Are you using RS485 or can?
You should be using lead with
1,2,3 - disconnected
pin 4 - can H - pin 4 on inverter side as well
pin 5 - can L - pin 5 on inverter side as well
pin 6 - can GND - disconnected on inverter side
As you can see, straight cable should work, but pylontech manual has a warning about requiring pin 1 2 and 3 to be empty.
Then it is protocol 0 on inverter. and you need to be plugged in into BMS port on the inverter
