Limited grid (generator) power boost?

Looking at buying a 12kw 3 phase sunsynk inverter to use off grid with battery's and occasional generator power (no solar or permanent grid) in a RV trailer type scenario. The trailer is actually a tv production unit and is wired 3 phase currently. So trying not to have to change to single phase if possible.

Does the sunsynk provide a simular feature to Victron inverters where by if you have a limited power source in the form of a generator (Grid) that can only supply 5kw, and the output demand is 10kw, it can meet the demand by boosting it using 5kw of battery power (to provide the 10kw total demand)?

Also as it is a 3 phase system I am assuming the input (Grid) has to be 3 phase at all times. Ie you could not charge the batteries via the inverter from a single phase source (camp site hook up) it would need to be a 3 phase generator or socket.

Many Thanks in advance.

Just some thoughts. Is there any kit in the truck that needs 3 phase or is it all single phase split over 3 phases? It may be quite easy to convert to single phase.

Now, you say your external sourse of power is a generator, the invertor needs to sync itself to that generator. I would be concerned if a small 5k generator's output would be stable enough for the invertor in terms of requency. May be others could comment if they have done this ?

Regarding power sharing understanding is the load would be powered from the inverter up to it's maximun output and the balance would be on the external sourse.
