A lot of people are telling me going over the 12/13 amps of a synsync PV input current will hurt my inverter in the long run,

Then

A lot of people are saying no you lose power in the cable from panel to inverter and you wont always max it out. (Which is fine but on cold days after rain i heard panles can spike in amps)

I got quote for set up with 550W and 460W panels, same price, 13.11amp and 11amp respectively

Who do i trust?

So im worried about the amps/current going over the 11/12/13 or whatever the Sunsync inverters can accept on the MPPT's

(Apparently there was an update to update the mppt input to 13 amp then again an update to downgrade to 12 amp??

Long term damage, what do you guys think?

Thank you

EDIT: Seems like the max is 17 amp??

Actually, your issue is not Voc being low, but Vmpp.

What you can do, is connect your string to both MPPTs in parallel.
