Strings and voc

Hi I have 2 sunsynk 8kw inverters 8k-sg01lp1eu and 43 400w panels rated 44.12v voc per panels I’m wondering what the string arrangement should be ? ive been told the voc for the inverter is 500vper string so two sets of 11 to one inverter and 10 and 11 to another this sound right ? . Having trouble finding the voc per string for this inverter I’ve found the vdc which is 500v max

For the 8kW inverter 500Volt on the MPPT is the absolute maximum voltage it can handle and is not recommended in the long run. You will shorten your machines lifespan drastically if that is the case. Rather I recommend to have your photo voltaic panels Volt Open Circuit (Voc) at or below 450Volt.

The MPPT's are the most efficient around 370V, but can operate in a range between 150V minimum and 450V maximum.

Thus 10 panels of 400Watt would yield 441.2Voc which I suggest is the maximum to keep your MPPT's safe, or 9 panels of 400Watt would yield 397.08Voc which is also not bad and you have a bit more peace of mind.
