BMS error and batteries not discharging at same rate.

I have 5kw sunsynk inverter and two sunsynk batteries.
A few days ago the entire system stopped working and was showing a BMS error, when i checked one battery was very low and showing an alarm.
I got the system back by charging from grid but have since noticed that the battery that had the error is now always discharging first, is this normal or a configuration error?
I beleive that the battery in question is slave but not 100%certain.
Am awaiting a call back from the installer but any insight from this forum would be very useful.

Yes they get charged to 100%, there's a definite issue as the slave has now turned itself off twice in 24 hours and SOC is jumping from 50% plus down to 0 sometimes in the space of minutes.
Installer sending an engineer at some point hopefully soon
