Inverter Heavy Power Usage After Battery Empty
I have a 3.6kW inverter and my house base load usage is 70w but when my battery runs out it starts pulling 300w until sunrise. Why is this? How do I stop this?
I expect it to shut down until sunrise if the battery empties but certainly not use 230w just for itself when it’s not even doing anything, just sitting idle.

I had a new ecco 5kw inverter installed on Friday.
This is exhibits exactly the same thing. The weather is terrible today and my battery has dropped. I'm producing 500 Watts solar of which 300 or so is going into the battery but when I reach the battery cut off point there is a draw of 350 to 400 from the grid going straight into the battery on top of the spare solar
The only difference with today is I have solar being generated. Last week it was through the night so there was no solar.
So to clarify that's 2 different Ecco inverters exhibiting exactly the same issue of using grid to charge the battery when grid charge is turned off in both the battery and system mode menus.
Someone at head office needs to make sure battery shutdown means that and not drain from the grid until it reaches battery restart.
