Alternative dongle firmware
I've been thinking about developing alternative firmware for the sunsynk dongle to add "missing" functionality and improve existing. Also add (in my opinion) important security features (communication between sunsynk servers and dongle is not encrypted so anyone can intercept the traffic (not much can be done with that while maintaining compatibility) but also anyone can inject their own traffic and that way change settings on the inverter), local access (basic web based status display initially).
I've done quite a lot of reverse engineering and documenting protocol used, but help would be great, especially if someone familiar with esp32 is interested as that would potentially allow for clean-room techniques to be used.

I would look forward to an application on my laptop that would enable me to adjust the settings on the inverter without going through the cloud. Connect at the moment via the portal does not work and has not since what appear to have been software changes in the inverter. To minimise energy costs, (I am on Agile Octopus) I have to manually change the setings on the inverter panel which is not convenient as the inverter is in the garage which is not attached to the house.
Why has the charging interface been such a mess for the last few weeks and still is?
