New Installation Impressions
In the North Scotland, have just started renewables journey. 5kW single phase inverter, grid tied, and fed from 6.64kW PV array. No elect storage yet (waiting for development of Sodium ion battery,) but feeding 16kW ASHP and SunAmp heat battery fed from scavenger power diverter supplying hot water to allow ASHP to operate at max efficiency. Got to say that elect consumption has increased, as expected, but grid import has dropped massively, and also offset by ditching the LPG costs.
Inverter Question: When PV stops producing at night, the "Power Flow" animation also stops. Maybe naively, I was expecting the CT to continue to show any grid import, thereby putting overall efficiency into the context of reality, rather than only when we are generating. Does anyone know if this is correct inverter behaviour?
Kindest regards
Dave.
