FOX ESS LV5200 + SUNSYNK HYBRID 8KW

Hi everyone, i am very new to solar and struggling a little bit, so any help will be greatly appreciated. From comments on this site, it seems that the LV5200s and the sunsynk 8kw are compatible. I have solis hybrid 6kw, but i need to upgrade as my partner keeps tripping it by putting the kettle on without looking to see what else is running! The inverter powers the whole house from EPS output. Most of the time, 6kw is ample for our use. We have 12 x 405w panels on 2 strings. The guy i was about to buy from has just said, " But the Sunsynk DC input from the solar panels is 10.4kW". He is a nightmare to get info from so asking what he meant would take ages and then still be a bit cryptic! Would less than 5kw coming into an 8kw inverter be a problem? I have 2 x 5kw batteries so with my very limited knowledge, i am thinking this would be ok? Thank you.

Thank you for the info, Mark. I am hoping it all just works first time, as i really haven't the knowledge to go experimenting! But, i have more knowledge than i did when i put my system together and that worked first time. And no one was more surprised than me when it fired up!! lol
