Solar import data differs from Electricity supplier details

Can someone explain why import data from sunsynch app differs from data on energy taken from the grid according to Electricity supplier. Variation can be considerable e.g. 40 to 80 percent and more.

ree

OVO is the supplier. So to be clear. on the 3rd Dec Supplier says 12.05 kWh taken from the grid. Yet Sunsych data says I imported 22.2 kwh from the grid , Thats an error of 83% !

I would have expected KWH figs to have been near enough the same?

Any observations welcome. Thanks

Mike

I spent many a happy hour in my youth trying to minimise signal contamination, a thankless task in the main. It usually ends up as trial and many errors! I would offer a few observations. Cat 5 uses twisted pairs to reduce interfere, cat 6 has a shield that can be earthed to act as a screen. Definitely an improvement. Cat 7 screens each twisted pair yet a further advantage. But even with good screening it's no guarantee. If you have any spare cable of any spec. I'd double or even triple up the cores and run the link loose temporarily as a quick check. If you have a screen try leaving open and then earthing it. Try using a different route as well. If none of that works it means moving on to the calibration of the two devices your comparing.
