PV clipping at 3800w

3.6 ECCO inverter and 16 x 415 Jinko panels in two strings. So 6600kw array and a 5.2KWH BYD battery pack.

The data sheet for the 3.6 ECCO shows a maximum PV input of 4680w in 2 MPPT's. However im seeing the inverter clip PV power at 3800w. Is this normal ? Amps dont go past 7A. Or have i missed something. Even on really sunny days you can easily see the PV generation clipped at exactly 3800w. Any helped would be appreciated. Im sure in one of the videos Keith actually states that you can put a 7kw array into the 3.6 ECCO, but i expected to see more PV input thats all

Hi all.

I my ecco inverter shipped with M2.3.7.4 / S1.5.1.5 / CE.4.2.4 and had the 3.8kw clipping but I only just noticed as the days get longer and the sun stronger.

Tech support have updated to M2.3.8.4 / S1.5.1.5 / CE.4.2.A and the problem is resolved, when batteries have capacity the panels are able to push 3.8kw A.C. to load and Grid and yet still more D.C. into them.

Glad I spotted it before the summer got going. WOW this hardware is amazing...
