Octopus Go - Ohme Sucking Batteries Dry
Hi Guys I charge my batteries on Octopus Go from 11.30pm to 5am at 7p unit. I plug my EV into my Ohme intelligent plug.
Recently Ohme removed the cap on charging at cheap rate and the EV now charges at 7p at any time Octopus have cheap electricity I assume from the windfarms.
My issue is that if the cheap rate starts charging my EV outside of the cheap rate it sucks my batteries dry.
Any idea how I can stop this.

Move the EVSE upstream of the CT clamp for the Sunsynk inverter so it doesn't 'see' the EVSE as a load and tries to fulfill it. Set the timers to charge at the off-peak periods and run the rest of the house and ignore the additional cheap periods when Ohme decides to charge your EV.
