Is there a description of each of the downloaded data fields such as the examples below that clearly describe which measurement it is referring to ?

You would expect that they would have this documented. I also have asked support for this information and was advised that they would try to have this documented and provided the following list:
MCU - is the latest LCD (screen view} This is the firmware update software for the screen of your inverter
Comm - id the latest software firmware
Run Status - When server is running correctly this will have a value when in fault this will be zero
Net today - Net reading of that day e.g. if you import 10kw and export 7kw your net will be 3kw
gen today - daily generator charge
bat charge - daily battery charge
bat discharge - daily battery discharge
It is a pretty poor effort :-(
