Grid Time Slots extension
The current interface has only 6-time slots that users can configure:
Can we have more time slots for better control over the system?
For example, I use the Octopus Aira Zero tariff which has 7 time slots:
To configure this, the only option was to combine the 4 pm and 7 pm periods into a single time slot.
Introducing more slots would offer the advantage of dividing the cheaper periods into smaller half-hour segments. This approach anticipates that if the sun comes out, the system will use solar energy instead of charging.
I would configure half-hour intervals between 1 pm and 4 pm, gradually increasing the state of charge (SOC). This way, if solar energy becomes available, the system won't rely solely on a single predefined value (for example 70%).
Similar problem with Octopus Cosy which follows the same pattern. You can't set the inverter up ideally for it and you can't teach the online cost tools it either due to the lack of slots
You hit other problems too - you want to be able to set a default trickle export during the peak period which you can't do even with third party tools.
