9.84KWp Solar, SunSynk 8KW inverter, 2 SunSynk Batteries (Zappi integration Question) living in UK
Hello & good morning!
Since I had my solar installed in March this year (UK), I am very happy with its daily output so far. The next step in our solar journey would be replacing the family diesel estate car with an EV
Currently I am with Octopus Flux & the export payments are generous, but I have worked out from my PVGIS that I should produce enough KW over a year to power the house and our motoring requirements (although not distributed evenly over the year so will require charging off-peak the even the flow in darker months, using the extra export cash generated over the summer months)
So this leads me to my question, can you turn off the battery from discharging in the cheap import 2-5AM time slot? Otherwise wont the inverter detect the load from the Zappi (with Harvi CT control) & discharge the batteries before drawing from the grid? That would be pointless since I would particularly like to keep the remaining battery power & top it up off-peak in the winter to help the following day.
Also I am lead that Zappi is as good as home chargers get, would that be correct? Do they integrate well with SunSynk equipment?

Just checking that I have this right in my head, I'm still learning settings
As this is set it will not discharge below 85% between 2-5am?
To charge I would tick grid & adjust the power to the rate of charge?
Thanks for the assistance folks 👍
