Adding a second SunSynk CATL Battery

Hi

I have a single wall mounted SunSynk CATL Battery and looking at adding a second. I'd like to wall mount the second battery in the same way but I'm trying to work out the best way to cable them.

Do I have to have the second battery power connect to the first battery power as per the documentation, or could I run a set of cables from the second battery directly to the fuse (so in effect the batteries are in parallel at the fuse)? I'd keep the cable lengths the same for both the primary and secondary battery and connect the first battery to the second for the BMS as per the documentation (master / slave).

As I wouldn't be getting the battery to battery cable kit, what cable would I need for the BMS to BMS link - would the one supplied with the battery be sufficient?

My understanding is that the 5.12 CATL battery that has a dip switch to set for slaves, uses an RJ45 CROSSOVER patch lead, whereas the BYD battery that doesn't have a dip switch and configures the slaves automatically has the normal straight through RJ45 patch lead. The ones supplied with cable sets only have three conductors so must be installed the right way round, but off the shelf patch leads can be used. I haven't used the 5.32 battery yet, so can't comment on that.
