Changing from Zero Export to Export during the day (Octopus Agile)

Hi

I have added a Sunsynk 3.6 Ecco, with a small extra array to an existing solar system. In order to get the Sunsynk inverter to access the surplus solar power generated from the existing array, I have to have the microinverter button in the auxiliary load tab set as explained in one of Keith's earlier videos, and also, Zero Export in the System mode.

That's all fine, during the day, when I don't want to export, but charge the battery and supply the load. But I then want to export some of the stored battery power, in the evening when I'll get paid (Octopus Outgoing) a hopefully nice price.

I can obviously change the setting at about 5pm to Selling, rather than zero export, and change it back afterwards, but has anyone found a way of automating this switch over. I think with variable tariffs, it's fairly obvious that we will want the inverter to behave differently at different times of the day.

This is really trying to achieve a timed workaround for Octopus Agile, given the app implementation of Octopus Agile seems a little flaky to say the least? Has anyone got it to work, and if so how, please?

Thanks

It does look like an interesting tariff, but yeah to make it work I need to have some good of the timer set to zero expert, and then some set to export. This shouldn't be hard to implement in a firmware update and hopefully Sunsynk will look at this.

I will look more into solar and home assistant. Cheers
