Inaccurate Investment Return Rate
Since installing our SunSynk equipment (12kW 3p, 8.5kW array and 20kWh batteries) we’ve got the following performance:
Load: 3116kW
PV: 2661kW
Export: 327kW
Battery Charge: 1302kW
Battery Discharge: 1229kW
The system is reporting we’ve had a return on £186.30. I don’t think this is correct.
If we take the PV generation and remove the export, that’s 2334kW, all being during peak hours, at 38.81p/kWh, that energy would have cost £905.83 to buy, and essentially we got it for free.
Also most of the extra load was covered by the batteries, this 455kW was put into the batteries over night at 7.5p rather than 38.81p had it been during the day, a 31.31p difference. So using the batteries saved us an extra £142.46.
So even without factoring in the export and potential payments there, from my estimation we’ve saved £1048.29.
in the setting it asks for the price in £, but seem out by about a factor of 10.
Am I missing something, why does it read so low, and surely it would be good for customer satisfaction if it was more representative.

Agree it's more gimmicky and not that smart. After a month in Winter our ROI is around £87, but that's just for solar. If we factored in pulling all power to batteries overnight (when it's 11p K/Wh) and using that during day, that's another £2.50 a day (ish), so more like £150 so far. Perhaps they don't have economy 7 where the batteries are made and thus haven't bothered to tailor the software in this regard.
