Minimum generator size connected to 8kW inverter
What is the minimum size generator that can be connected to an 8kW hybrid inverter and the minimum value for gen peak shaving to utilize the generator?
Please see the attached picture of the generator to be integrated.

Without operator intervention to change settings?
I'd say whatever your biggest load on the inverter is/has been plus the rate of charge from the generator of the batteries you select plus probably a 20% safety margin.
If you are willing to fiddle whenever you need the generator you can probably get by with the unit in your pic.
