Using 5kW Sunsynk in power cut.

My home solar power system comprises of a SYNK-5K-SG04LP1 inverter with panels and 10kWh of battery storage. This is connected in the standard fashion supplying domestic energy and battery charging first before exporting any excess energy to the grid via Octopus.

I would like to set up this system so that it automatically works almost as usual when we have a power cut and would welcome any advice on the additions and modifications required to achieve this. Any help very gratefully received.

Contact your installer and tell them what it is you are trying to achieve - whole house backup, essential loads only, or just a double-socket. Some companies/installers will tell you it cannot be done, but it can. The facility is built into every Sunsynk hybrid inverter, but it requires some additional work/components (earth/neutral contact relay and an external earth rod to name just two). As jacekowski says, it's all there in the manual.
