Grid wattage not displayed when not connected to a battery or PV

I have just installed my Sunsync 8.8kw inverter but have a few questions regarding if the installation is correct as I am not seeing the grid wattage or CT wattage readings.

The inverter is installed without PV (at this stage, coming in Jan) and the batteries are not yet connected. The grid is connected to the GRID input and the LOAD connections goes back to the DB though the main EL. I have not split the DB so the full DB is served by the inverter.

I have also connected the CT coil on the main feed into the DB (before the MCB) and connected to input 5 and 6 in the inverter.

I would have imagined that the display would show the wattage drawn in this mode as it shows the amperage, but the wattage is 0. Also, the CT clamp is also indicates zero.

Second question is on the ON/OFF switch. What does it switch off? Is it suppose to stop power being delivered to the LOAD?

Thanks

Some feedback on the above problem if someone else experience the same. When connecting the inverter to grid alone and not to PV or battery, the above is the standard. I checked in the installer training manual, and it states that when connecting to only grid, the inverter will only use the grid input (as input and output). I have connected a battery now, and all seems to be working as it should. The CT clamp reading is correct as well as the Grid wattage. The on/of switch works as expected and the DC switch also works. The Normal Operation LED is also lid with both the On/Off switch is on and the DC switch is one. Now I just need to sort out the settings for the 3 BLSB 6.4kw batteries.
